UC holds on versus SMU

28-25 was final score of matchup between the Southern Methodist Mustangs and the Cincinnati Bearcats. The Bearcats trailed 10-0 in the 2nd quarter. 28 unanswered points later allowed the Bearcats to take a 28-10 lead. SMU had two late TD’s to pull within 3 points. A failed attempt of an onside kick sealed the Mustangs’ fate. QB Brendan Kay threw for two TD’s, as did Garrett Gilbert of SMU.
