UC Hoops: Bearcats survive Tulsa in OT

It took overtime, but Cincinnati defeated Tulsa 80-75 at the Reynolds Center in Tulsa, OK. Cincy (13-3, 2-1, 33rd) travelled to Tulsa to play the Golden Hurricane (11-5, 1-2, 83rd) Thursday night. The Bearcats came to Oklahoma following a major upset loss to East Carolina on the road. To make matters worse, many UC players were suffering from flu-like symptoms. Despite these issues, the Cats played with intensity and beat a team in the top 100 who had not lost a home contest in 15 games. UC’s Cane Broome led with 16 points (off the bench). Jarron Cumberland, and Keith Williams each had 14 points to help counter Tulsa and Daquan Jeffries’ 14 points. Cincinnati plays Connecticut (10-6, 1-2, 98th) at home in Fifth Third Arena Saturday night at 8 PM. TV: ESPN2 Radio: 700 WLW
