Cincinnati came into Fifth Third Arena fresh off an overtime victory at Tulsa, and left the arena with another overtime victory, 74-72 over Connecticut. The Bearcats (14-3, 3-1, 30th) had a three point lead in regulation before UConn’s Alterique Gilbert drilled a three-pointer at the buzzer. Gilbert led the Huskies (10-7, 1-3, 104th) with 18 points. Meanwhile, Jarron Cumberland continued his impressive play with 22 points and 6 rebounds for the Bearcats. Down by 2, UConn attempted a layup, but UC’s Justin Jenifer drew a game-winning charge.
