Cincinnati Reds: April 2019

The Reds have finished April with a disappointing 12-17 record, thanks to offensive struggles. However, stellar pitching as kept the Reds alive in the NL Central, albeit a solid seven games behind first-place.

After an opening day victory over the Pirates, the Redlegs proceeded to lose eight games in a row. At 1-8, the Reds had the worst record in Major League Baseball. Thankfully the actual worst team in MLB, the Miami Marlins, came to play a three-game series at Great American BallPark. A three-game sweep is what the doctor ordered for Cincy. This has helped start a trend of better baseball for the Reds. However, last place in the NL Central is nothing to celebrate.
