Duke Snider: A Legend

Hall of Famer Duke Snider of the Brooklyn Dodgers passed away at the age of 84 yesterday. Known as the “Silver Fox,” he played 18 seasons, 10 of them in his prime for Brooklyn. A fan favorite, Snider played center field, and helped the Dodgers win two World Championships in the 1950’s (one in L.A.). While playing for Brooklyn, he played alongside ionic teammates Jackie Robinson and Roy Campanella. His number, 4, was retired by the Los Angeles Dodgers in 1980.
