UC Hoops: Cincy Takes Down Tough Temple Squad

The Bearcats defeated the Temple Owls 82-78, Sunday. Cincinnati (18-3, 7-1, 19th) was led, once again, by Jarron Cumberland who, once again, had 25 points and 8 rebounds. Temple got 20 points from JP Moorman II off of the bench. Temple (15-5, 4-2, 30th) is the only team to have defeated the Houston Cougars (20-1, 7-1, 6th). The Owls jumped out to a 14 point lead earlier in the game. The Bearcats will have some rest before taking on SMU (12-7, 4-3, 132nd) at home at 8 PM. TV: CBSSN Radio: 700 WLW

Bearcats Blast Owls, Louisville Uspet

The Cincinnati Bearcats easily defeated the Temple Owls 34-10 at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia. Cincy QB Brendon Kay had two touchdown passes, in his first start. Cincinnati led 24-3 at halftime, and never looked back. The cats’ improve to 7-2 (3-1) and are in third place in the Big East.

Meanwhile, the #9 Louisville Cardinals were uspet by the Syracuse Orange 45-26.  The game was held in the Carrier Dome, in Syracuse, NY. Louisville falls to 9-1 and into second place.
